Purchasing and Licensing
1. I would like to try Tracker, do I have to purchase the program first?
No, you can view a walkthrough demonstration of our software at http://www.cellosoftware.co.uk/demos.asp. If you would like to find out more about Tracker we can arrange a full demonstration in your workplace at a time to suit you. No hard sell, no pressure, no question asked if you decide not to go ahead with the purchase.
 
2. We would like to purchase Tracker classic edition but we may need to upgrade at a later date. Is this possible?
Yes, upgrading to the Expert license is simple and straightforward. You will be issued with a new license key which you will enter in the License Information tab of the Options form. NB. To upgrade at a later date, you must pay the difference in prices between the two products.
 
3. Will Tracker work on my hospital network?
Yes, Tracker is designed to work either on a stand-alone computer (single user licence) or on multiple computers, all accessing the same database (multi-user Licence)
 
4. Why do I need to purchase a multi-user license?
A multi-user licence will give you the right to install Tracker on a number of computers. This will allow, for example, the personnel department and/or the finance department to access the database for information entry or retrieval. There is also the added advantage of allowing the clinical tutor, director of nursing or medical director to generate a multitude of reports on their section of the database from their own computers.
 
5. I am using SLIMS at the moment can I import our present data into Tracker?
Yes, this is possible. After installation of Tracker there is an option in the "Options" menu to import your old data from SLIMS. You should search for the file called (slims_d.mdb), this file may be located on your hard drive or on your network drive. You may need to involve your IT department if the file is on the network server.
